The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) is seeking to recruit a national from its member countries to fill the position of Project Assistant in the Social Sector Division of the Projects Department. The successful candidate will be based at CDB's headquarters in St. Michael, Barbados.
The Projects Department identifies, appraises, and supervises the majority of Capital and Technical Assistance projects, as well as sector loans intended for and/or included in the Bank's portfolio. Monitoring and evaluating the Bank's loan portfolio, preparation of sector analyses/policy papers for external training, and the provision of assistance to micro and small enterprises are also within its purview.
Reporting to the Division Chiefs, Unit Heads and/or Project Team Leads as appropriate, the Project Assistant provides support to project teams in developing and implementing the programmes/projects consistent with CDB rules and regulations. The Project Assistant provides common project, administrative and logistical assistance to ensure consistency across support service delivery and enable effective project implementation.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
This is a full-time position with the successful candidate being contracted on a two-year basis in the first instance, with the possibility of renewal. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. A pension plan, life and medical insurances are included in the benefits package.
